TodayTag does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app contains no tracking, no advertising, no analytics, and requires no user account.

What data does the app collect?

None. TodayTag does not collect any personal data. There is no registration, no login, and no access to contacts, location, camera, or microphone.

Third-Party Services

TodayTag fetches content from two external APIs:

• Wikimedia Feed API (Privacy Policy) – for historical events and anniversaries. Each request transmits your IP address to Wikimedia Foundation servers.
• Nager.Date API (date.nager.at) – for public holidays. Each request transmits your IP address to this service.

These requests are technically necessary for the app to display content. The developer has no access to the IP addresses transmitted in the process.

Local Data Storage

• UserDefaults: Settings and preferences are stored locally on your device. This data is not synced and not shared with third parties.
• SwiftData: Content is cached locally on your device to improve loading times. This data is also not synced and not transmitted.

All locally stored data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.

Tracking and Analytics

TodayTag uses no tracking, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no crash reporting services. The app contains no code that monitors user behavior or sends data to third parties.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Since TodayTag does not collect or store personal data, standard GDPR requests (access, deletion, rectification) do not apply. All data resides exclusively on your device and can be completely removed by uninstalling the app.
