Loopy Pro

Auf meinem Weg durchs Livelooping hab ich schon viel ausprobiert…mit Pedalen und Konsolen experimentiert…Synchronisation war häufig nicht so einfach….Boss 202 / 505 wollten gerne Master sein…Ich hab aber Ableton Link für mich entdeckt….verwende Push 3 und Move….und Loopy Pro spielt da 100% mit…einfach genial….man kann aus dem Nix performen. Und durch die unglaublichen Möglichkeiten der Midi Einbindung kann man alle nur denkbaren Loopmaschienen erzeugen…ob mit Plugins, Hardware Controllern oder Realen Instrumenten. Loopy Pro läuft auf meinem schon in Rente geschickten iPhone 8 genauso gut wie meinem iPad Pro….ich denke ich hab eine Looppedale abzugeben.

Diese App ist ein absolutes Meisterwerk für alle, die mit Loops arbeiten, Musik produzieren oder live performen möchten. Der Entwickler steckt unglaublich viel Energie und Liebe ins Detail – das merkt man in jedem Aspekt der App. Der Funktionsumfang ist enorm, die Möglichkeiten nahezu unbegrenzt. Trotz der Komplexität bleibt das Bezahlmodell aber super fair. Künstler wie DubFX nutzen sie – das allein spricht Bände. Hier sollten sich viele Entwickler mal ne Scheibe von abschneiden. 10/10 Top!

I love this: - easy making own played music - thoroughly well thought out - if you‘d think: would be nice to have this additional feature - there it is! - many, many, many parameters for adjusting - tons of YouTube tutorials

I rarely write reviews for anything, but no single app or program ever changed my musical world for the better like Loopy Pro did with it’s v2.0. Loopy Pro single-handedly upended my eurorack-workflow. Gone are the days where I had to think about lugging around a mixer or sacrifice precious HP for in rack-mixing. Just bring my iPhone, a usb hub and an interface. Add the additional ability to loop everything, use performance fx via programmable xy-pads and properly mix and master stuff and my mind was blown. Setup - way more compact. Sound - upgraded sevenfold. It is nothing short of miraclework. And then there‘s the whole other setup loopy pro has spawned which is based entirely on an iPad running auv3s. Super portable and basically Ableton on a tablet with a customizable modular touchscreen. Insanity. This app has enabled my musical ability to a degree I didn’t think I had in me. I am literally obsessed. Thank you Michael Tyson and the entire LP Pro Team. Really, from the bottom of my heart. I‘d give this app 10 stars if I could.

I don’t want to bother you so I keep it short. This software is amazing. The best thing about it, it is simple. Just watch one video from the developer how to start with looping on his homepage and you’re good to go. I’m playing guitar and needed a simple yet powerful solution to make loops on the go. Btw., the auto detection feature is awesome.

Just test it for a few days already! You’ll buy it anyway within minutes. It does what it says on the tin, but it’s much more. You want a hub for all the guitar effects? You want to switch presets of different plugins? You want knobs and switches to control your effects easily? You want to record songs? You want to create a backing track and noodle over it endlessly? You want to carry a looper-based show with beatboxing, solo choir Jacob Colliers style and riff over it? It’s all well thought out and easy enough on the surface, but there is a whole Mariana Trench underneath. You can connect it to all manner of midi devices, like foot switches (get a cheap one) and program it however you like. Start, stop loops, switch presets around, all at once, whatever. You can do even stuff like split a keyboard and have the lower register control one instrument and the higher play another one. It’s easy to get started, but you want to watch some tutorials on YouTube to get some nifty tricks. I am only annoyed that I only heard of it days ago, when this was apparently put years ago. ;)
