Brilliant: Learn interactively

Hey dear Brilliant Team! I’m currently an highschool student and did some courses in basic Algebra. All I can say is that, it has helped me a lot with understanding maths. I love your app a lot. Thank you very much for all your hard effort put into it! It would be really cool if we could get widgets for the streaks. Just like Duolingo to keep us motivated and don’t lose track of our progress. :)

It's helpful to see some logic visually represented and it's an easy way to practice daily. But you can mostly ignore the "Why?" button, since more often than not the "explanation" is literally just a single sentence like "The solution is A because B is incorrect" or "Because C and A wouldn't work here, B is the correct solution." Reminder: Some people pay money for this app, so I'd appreciate it if you don't insult our intelligence or waste our time. How hard is it to write a short explanation as to WHY (!) "A is correct" or "B is false" etc Or alternatively, delete the button. Nobody would miss it and your credibility would rise instantly. Why? Because: The collection of topics seems sufficient for the alleged goal. Lessons get updated continuously and the Ranking function can serve as competitive motivator. It has a solid framework to offer and no option for an explanation is better than a fake one. Please put less money into YouTube sponsorships for two weeks and pay an intern to summarize at least BASIC (!?) explanations (maybe with sources if you need to safe space) in case you insist on keeping that infuriating confusing button. Or at least do not label it "Why?" - if most replies are literally just "Because!" >:( It's such a bad user experience that I kinda regret paying for one year subscription because it feels like you scammed me (which wouldn't even be necessary for the app since the rest is as solid as advertised). So the app itself is easy to use and it helps me a lot to learn basic skills for my hobbies and studies. Obviously it’s not as deep as it could get but it brings you often to a lvl where you can start understanding more complex things. There is just one downside. After finishing a course you can’t make a daily refresh. Like an option which picks randomly a topic out of a course. I have to do this manually which is a little bumper if you use a such a gamefied app. I hope it will change in the future.

Von sich an ist die Idee super aber es ist schade das es die App nur auf Englisch gibt. Außerdem ist die Anzahl an Lektionen pro Tag für die Leute die kein Geld ausgeben viel zu niedrig, Mann könnte das System so machen wie z.B. bei Doulingo wo Mann fünf Herzen hat, wenn man eine Fehler macht ein Herz abgezogen wird und wenn man mehr Herzen möchte, muss man pro Herz eine Werbung schauen auf jeden Fall sind zwei Lektionen pro Tag zu wenig. aber da es solche Themen wie von kurz gesagt gibt. Pusht die App noch mal nach oben.

I really do, but yet it is somehow difficult for me to dedicate my time into it. Even though the lessons are short and very engaging. But I want you to know: I love your animations. I love the sounds. I love the short little lessons that can be of such different variety. When I downloaded the app and tried it and almost bought premium straight. But a week later, I already realised that I couldn’t motivate myself anymore to complete more than 1 task per day. So the basic version was enough for me. But I hope a lot of people are buying premium and you guys get what you deserve for creating such a great app with awesome ux!

I am still in the first steps adter a 30 day streak. I like the concept of the app and think it hs great potential (i am a software engineer myself searching for an app to teach my children) The 2 free keys per day make learning very slow especially when you consider that one key is spent for a training session. The adverisment is too often, though they only try to pull you in on the payed account- a subscription- and have some fun (two little if you see them twice a day) Maybe the advertising could focus on lessons and content. Maybe the subscription could be enhanced if we could get a bunch of keys in a single purchase. German localization would help my smaller children to start earlier, because in Germany the content would at least need skills for 7th or 8th graders
